Buddleia davidii 'Pink Delight' butterfly bush

Pink delight butterfly bush picture

This Buddleia davidii 'Pink Delight' butterfly bush is from our garden. We planted it about 4 years ago and it grows back bigger and better each year. In late Winter or early Spring we cut the bush back to about 12" and it seems to get larger each year. The fragrant blooms start sometime in June and when it gets a little warmer the butterflies start to visit on a regular basis. Another thing we do is to remove all spent blooms to allow the next pair of blooms on the same stem to grow better.

Plant Type - Deciduous shrub Light - Full sun
Zones - 5 to 9 Size - 8' high - 5' wide
Bloom time - Mid June to September Tips - Cut back to 12" in late Winter
