Purple salvia picture

Purple salvia picture. Purple salvia superba is one of the many types of salvias. It grows about 2 to 3 feet tall with purple blue blooms and loves full sun. Bees and small butterflies just can't seem to resist this salvia. This plant can be used in beds, borders and even containers. We also grow another type of salvia called black and blue. We put it in a container on our deck every year for attracting hummingbirds and it works great, one of our best plants for that. If you'd like to see a photo of the salvia black and blue we have one on our hummingbird blog Below is a bumble bee enjoying the salvia.
