Purple Ramona
Clematis Picture

|
This
purple Ramona Clematis picture came from a container
on our deck. We purchased this plant a little over 2
years ago. The first year it grew great for about 4
or 5 weeks then it started to die. We did a little
research and found out this type of clematis can
get a fungus and the best thing to do
is cut it back to the ground and it may survive. We did and had just about given
up on it coming back when late that fall it started
to grow again. This past year in late spring it grew
great and had some really nice large blooms. Later
that summer it bloomed again but these blooms were
smaller. The last 2 years we planted small flowering
plants in this container to keep the sun off the
roots.
