Purple water lily picture
This purple water lily picture along with the purple daisy picture were given to us by our neighbor who is a professional photographer. Here's where you can see his great photography Water lilies are divided into two types, hardy and tropical. The tropical lilies must be brought inside in the winter in colder climates and hardy lilies can be left outside almost in any temperature. Most are grown in containers in water depths of 1' to 3'. This picture appears to us to be of the tropical variety and on our garden pictures page we have a picture of one of the hardy types that we took ourselves at a friend's pond.
